The scope of my project was to speak out about the internet and its positive effect on people.
Pre-production consisted of sketching out some ideas and fishing for certain images and questions I might want to use in my interview and video. To shoot the video, I made sure to interview both someone in real life as well as someone online, to get different views on things. Though the views didn't vary as much as I wanted them to, and an interviewee didn't give descriptive answers, it still turned out as a good interview nonetheless.
During editing, I found more images as well as created a good voice over for my video to use. Finding music and the perfect images was a lengthy process (more so than I wanted it to be).
I learned a better way to have music fade out without the ending being too long, as well as how to zoom in on scenes and make cool effects. During the filming process, I learned that a good setting could make for a better interview.
What I would do differently is make sure to remind the interviewee to answer as detailed as possible, as well as make sure the audio sounds well while recording. I would also need to add NAT sound. What I would keep doing the fun effects and different audio tricks in order to make the video interesting.
What I would draw from this project would be to take my knowledge on effects and turn them more serious and emotional instead of quirky.
I thought this project wasn't my best, but overall, it was a good video and had a good premise. The topic was well shaped and with an average amount of organization.
