Ecomm Final Report
In Ecomm, I learned how to properly use different animating techniques, video techniques, video editing, photoshop usage, and certain communication skills. I learned this by recreating set lessons in my own way and adding quirkiness into it. I also learned to do this through communication and listening skills.
These are important skills to know because it will help me, not only my career, but for whenever I feel like doing these things in my free time. Future Ecomm class will also require to know these skills as well as help me narrow down which class I want to take during Junior and Senior year.
My greatest strengths in this course are remembering to make things my own and not boring while still following the guides, staying on task, and taking charge when others wont. My weaknesses are, when people are taking charge a little too much, I can't stand up for myself, and, when I'm having a bad day, I tend to do other things instead of what I'm supposed to. I've improved these things by focusing more often and trying to force myself to stand up for myself and others.
I plan to get a career in animating on some sort of field, whether that means creating animations for commercials, TV shows, movies, professional usage, or just to sell animations to online users who want their character animated. I also want to be a news reporter or film director. I will also plan to use this information to teach others and to improve on in the future.
I would change how people are grouped. It's a good idea to group people by letters, but, depending on how extreme those letters represent them, the introverts could be pushed down by the extroverts. I also think the teaching strategy for such people should be different and more helpful to the introverts who actually joined the class to stay in it. I think this because, from personal experience, none of the teachers would do anything when I told them someone was being rude to me or not working and I've witness quite a bit of it too.
Therefore, I think the class is overall well, but the "communication" aspect of it needs to be worked on a bit more. I'm glad to be staying in this program and move up into animation and video.
